Can the Bulls Pull Off a Miracle? All the Bets Are ON… Maybe

imagesWith just 10 games left in their regular season – including one tonight against the Atlanta Hawks – things are looking pretty dire for the Chicago Bulls, but the team isn’t throwing in the towel just yet. In fact, after a serious pep talk before Sunday night’s game, some of the major players are taking back their recent shamefaced and embarrassed comments and coming out with a whole lot of tough talk.

Coach Promises a Bounce Back

“We still get opportunities to play some of the teams we’re chasing right now,” coach Fred Hoiberg told his hometown newspaper Monday afternoon. “There’s a lot of basketball left, and we have to find a way to bounce back.”

With a 36-36 record going into these final 10 games, they have to do some serious bouncing if they’re going to land a playoff berth, but the guys think they’re up to it – especially if the fans come out and support them. In fact, that support could be the tipping stone in some of the toughest coming games – and it’s a tough schedule coming up for sure. If you check out the Chicago Bulls upcoming games schedule (and our available Chicago Bulls tickets), you’ll see that they’re facing off against playoff-caliber teams – and that can be a good or a bad thing.

On the one hand, if Rose, Butler, Gasol et al let themselves get intimidated, things could go pretty badly for them. A three-game losing streak  has already set them back on their heels, and just about everyone but the hometown fans are writing the team off, not just for this year but for next year as well. Chicago fans recognize schadenfreude when they see it, though, and they’re not buying the hype – or the putdowns. The Chicago Bulls 2016 edition wasn’t the dream team, after all. This year was always meant to be their growth year. They started the season with a bunch of relatively new players and a new coach, and then got hit with just about very stumbling block possible along the way. The team’s pretty starting lineup has managed precious little court time together, what with one injury after another to their players.

The Greatest Moments of the Season…So Far

But despite the misfortunes and difficulties, the Bulls have still managed to pull off some pretty inspiring moments along the way – like shutting down the conference leading Cavaliers in January by 13 points. In other words, they still put on a great show, and the fans appreciate that. They also recognize that the Bulls have the potential to disrupt the dominant narrative going into the final stretch before the playoffs. A couple of wins against teams that are still settling into their playoff spots could tilt the apple cart just enough to make a far more interesting post season.

In the meantime, Chicago fans know that they’re watching the growing pains of a team that could become great with just a little more together-time, practice and fan support.

FYI, it’s a great time to show your support and get behind the Bulls in this last push for a miracle. Check out our Bulls ticket inventory – there are some great bargains available on cheap Chicago Bulls seats, as well as some incredible seats still available right up front.
